En 2024, 1001fontaines a \u00e9tendu ses actions au Bangladesh, un pays confront\u00e9 \u00e0 de graves enjeux d\u2019acc\u00e8s \u00e0 l\u2019eau potable, particuli\u00e8rement dans le sud-ouest du pays o\u00f9 la contamination par l\u2019arsenic et la salinit\u00e9 accrue des sources d\u2019eau mettent en p\u00e9ril la sant\u00e9 des communaut\u00e9s rurales. C\u2019est ainsi que 1001fontaines s\u2019est associ\u00e9e \u00e0 l\u2019ONG locale Uttaran <\/b><\/a>pour lancer un projet pilote visant \u00e0 construire, ensemble, un mod\u00e8le p\u00e9renne d\u2019acc\u00e8s \u00e0 l\u2019eau potable dans cette r\u00e9gion.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Je suis dipl\u00f4m\u00e9 en Gestion Environnementale de la North South University, ainsi qu’en Changement et Gestion Environnementale de l’Universit\u00e9 d’Oxford. J’ai effectu\u00e9 des recherches sur les strat\u00e9gies d’adaptation post-catastrophes et l’influence des organisations humanitaires. Mon travail avec l\u2019ONG bangladeshi Uttaran porte sur la gouvernance de l’eau, la gestion des risques de catastrophes, et l’adaptation au changement climatique. Je coordonne actuellement le projet d\u2019acc\u00e8s \u00e0 l\u2019eau potable \u00ab Uttaran Paani \u00bb, men\u00e9 conjointement avec 1001fontaines.<\/span>

Parlez-nous du projet et de ses r\u00e9sultats concrets ?<\/b><\/p>

Nos objectifs pour les deux prochaines ann\u00e9es sont ambitieux : il s\u2019agit de lancer et stabiliser trois usines afin de fournir une eau de qualit\u00e9 \u00e0 8 000 foyers, d\u2019optimiser le mod\u00e8le de production et de distribution pour servir durablement les populations vuln\u00e9rables, et d\u2019\u00e9laborer un plan de d\u00e9ploiement \u00e0 grande \u00e9chelle dans cette r\u00e9gion.<\/p>

Uttaran avait d\u00e9marr\u00e9 d\u00e8s d\u00e9but 2023 cette initiative, baptis\u00e9e \u201cUttaran Paani\u201d, et depuis le lancement du partenariat avec 1001fontaines en mars 2024, nous avons franchi des avanc\u00e9es notables : l\u2019enclenchement de la construction de deux nouvelles usines de traitement de l’eau dans la province de Khulna, et des forages associ\u00e9s. Malgr\u00e9 les graves inondations qui, depuis ao\u00fbt, ont retard\u00e9 certaines \u00e9tapes du projet, nous sommes fiers des r\u00e9sultats :\u00a0<\/p>

  • 17 631 consommateurs<\/strong> ont \u00e9t\u00e9 desservis par notre premi\u00e8re usine \u00e0 Tala<\/li>
  • La construction d\u2019une deuxi\u00e8me usine est en cours<\/strong> \u00e0 Debhata et sera finalis\u00e9e d\u2019ici d\u00e9cembre, pour un d\u00e9marrage op\u00e9rationnel d\u00e8s le d\u00e9but de 2025<\/li>
  • 356 000 bonbonnes de 20 litres d\u2019eau potable<\/strong> ont \u00e9t\u00e9 distribu\u00e9es aux communaut\u00e9s vuln\u00e9rables au cours des 12 derniers mois<\/li><\/ul>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

    Face aux chiffres alarmants de l\u2019acc\u00e8s \u00e0 l\u2019eau potable au Bangladesh, nous avions d\u00e9cid\u00e9 chez Uttaran de nous lancer dans ce projet innovant. Nous associer \u00e0 1001fontaines nous permet de b\u00e9n\u00e9ficier de 20 ans d\u2019exp\u00e9rience sur des sujets similaires, et de progresser plus rapidement vers la d\u00e9monstration de la pertinence du mod\u00e8le.\u00a0<\/p>

    Entre les \u00e9changes r\u00e9guliers et les missions terrain, nous travaillons main dans la main pour garantir une eau de qualit\u00e9 \u00e0 un prix abordable pour les communaut\u00e9s marginalis\u00e9es. L’expertise de 1001fontaines nous aide \u00e0 anticiper les d\u00e9fis quotidiens et \u00e0 prendre les meilleures d\u00e9cisions, notamment pour le choix des syst\u00e8mes de traitement de l\u2019eau. \u00c0 chaque mission de l\u2019\u00e9quipe 1001fontaines, nos \u00e9quipes locales gagnent en comp\u00e9tence sur de nombreux sujets.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

    Lors de la derni\u00e8re visite de notre Directeur Administratif et Financier, sur quels aspects avez-vous travaill\u00e9 ensemble ?<\/b><\/p>

    La r\u00e9cente visite de Quentin nous a permis d\u2019am\u00e9liorer le suivi financier du projet, en travaillant notamment sur le pilotage de la p\u00e9rennit\u00e9 \u00e9conomique. Cela nous a permis de constater que nous sommes dans une position int\u00e9ressante, mais que nous devons encore optimiser nos circuits de distribution.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

    Nous devons finir la mise en place des deux nouvelles usines, et les lancer ! Nous pr\u00e9voyons \u00e9galement de mener une enqu\u00eate aupr\u00e8s des consommateurs afin d’\u00e9valuer notre impact, d\u2019identifier des pistes d\u2019am\u00e9lioration, et d\u2019\u00e9tendre notre port\u00e9e afin d\u2019am\u00e9liorer la vie quotidienne des communaut\u00e9s.<\/p>
