In 2019, 1001fontaines started to operate in Vietnam in order to build a sustainable model, guaranteeing the quality of water in a highly competitive context.

A WORD FROM
THE LOCAL MANAGEMENT
In Vietnam, the 2021 UNICEF report exposes a critical drinking water contamination issue, affecting 50% of children under 5 with diarrheic episodes. Piped water, although accessible, is unreliable and deteriorating due to contamination. The private sector has jumped on this opportunity, but the burgeoning bottled water market is partially unregulated, with significant samples failing WHO standards.
In response, 1001fontaines initiated a social enterprise in 2019, aiming at providing safe, affordable drinking water to vulnerable populations in Ho Chi Minh City. Uniquely positioned, our brand Owe is now the most affordable of the quality brands. The team collaborates directly with water retailers and factories to raise awareness and convince consumers to switch from unsafe options to Owe
