A WORD FROM
THE LOCAL ORANIZATION
With 40 years’ experience in development projects serving local communities, Uttaran has become a benchmark NGO in south-west Bangladesh. In 2023, we were given the opportunity to embark on a new safe drinking water project, and through discussions with the communities, we identified the 20-liter jar as the best way to provide them with quality water. That is how we opened our first production facility.
A few months later, when we met 1001fontaines, the partnership seemed obvious: combining our knowledge of the local context and our first year of operations with 1001fontaines’ 20 years of experience and know-how. We are convinced that, together, we can prove that it is possible to provide safe, sustainable drinking water services to vulnerable communities in Bangladesh!
